Our Rooms

As you walk into the spacious family kitchen at Castle Farm Guest House you are struck by the abundance of typical farmhouse features, such as the exposed stone wall and old wooden beams (possibly relocated from the Castle itself). The handcrafted oak kitchen units and Aga type cooker add to the rustic charm, and usual presence of one or more of the family emphasise that this is a "home from home".

Leading through to the hall and stairs en route to three of our bedrooms, one passes the guest sitting room with its wonderful view of the garden and River Nene. There are a further two bedrooms converted from the old "Applestore" and a ground floor room in the "Coalhouse". These two have their own external entrance which can create a feeling of slightly more independence for a family or small group of friends.

*All bedrooms are en suite with WC, wash basin and either shower or bath.

....Breakfast is freshly prepared daily and served in the dining room. We are not licensed for alcohol but guests are more than welcome to bring their own.....

Arrival & Car Parking

To ensure your accommodation is ready we ask that guests do not normally arrive before 2.30pm. Earlier arrival may, however, be possible by arrangement. Parking is on a level drive in our spacious courtyard. We would ask all our guests to please park facing the wall opposite the gateway, allowing for others to park alongside you. We are glad to help you with luggage if required.

All freshly prepared on a daily basis and locally sourced whenever possible. Choose from:

A variety of Juices, Yoghurts, Fruit, Cereal, Porridge, Tea/Freshly Brewed Ground Coffee.

Our Sitting & Dining Rooms

Guests are welcome to use the sitting room. It has all the usual trimmings - television, radio, settee and a selection of armchairs to relax with. There is also an open fire which can be lit if required.

* Sorry, but we do not accept any pets indoors though some guests do bring dogs that stay in their vehicles.

Wheelchair Access

Given the age of the building there are areas that some people with impaired mobility might find difficult to access. For instance the bedrooms are above ground floor level and these are only accessible by using the stairs. They would therefore not be suitable for use by wheelchair users. There is one ground floor room, but this was converted from a coalhouse many years ago and has tight corners and a very small bathroom.
